Come learn the art of jam making just in time for holiday gifts! We’ll be discussing the basic science of successful jamming – pectin, gel, and acid – and the differences in jams, jellies, and other preserves. Students will be making and canning a jam from a seasonal fruit. All supply costs are included in the class fee and students will go home with a jar made in class. There will also be an opportunity to sample various other homemade preserves and recipes for these will be available as well.
